(Annual Big Bear Forest Fest
Event)
- Come enjoy the cool air and
great trails with fellow four wheelers in Southern California's Mountain
Playground, the San Bernardino National Forest. For the past 10
years the
Inland Empire 4 Wheelers have hosted the Big Bear Forest Fest. One of
the largest and best organized 4 wheel drive events in the Big Bear
area. The club leads several runs through out the San Bernardino
Mountains. Runs are open to all makes and models of 4x4's with trails
ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging. Last year the club
hosted a raffle with over $25,000 in prizes. This year promises to be
even better. The kids are also treated to their own games and give away.
The proceeds from the event are donated to various charities through out
the year, with a majority of the proceeds donated to organizations
dedicated to keeping our trails OPEN. Free dry camping at the Snow
Valley Resort's huge parking area for motor-homes, tents etc. is included with admission. Check out their web site
for directions and more information.

(Monache Meadows to Sherman Pass)
- Escape to
the beautiful Monache Meadows Jeep Trail
for a weekend of camping
on the south fork of the Kern River and trail riding through Sequoia &
Inyo National Forest areas. This gorgeous high Sierra meadow is
buried in snow several months of the year. Set at 8000' elevation, the
night temperatures
can still get chilly in the summer. Then
for those who decide to camp overnight we will run the Sherman Jeep Trail on Sunday before heading home.
We have verified with local Black Rock Ranger Station that all the snow
has melted trails are open. For details
please contact Ken Thompson or Terry Dean.
