EL Mirage

This is a new trail recently marked off by the Rough Wheelers 4x4 Club who have nicknamed it Fearless Folly. It begins at the wide junction of trails about 6.3 miles in on Mountain View Road. Most intersections are currently marked with a strip of blue flagging tape tied to a branch. The trail is marked such that if you keep the blue tape to the drivers side at each intersection, you will follow the trail as it was designed. From the starting point, follow the track northeast about 1/2 mile to the locked back gate. Turn right, following the fence another 1/2 mile to FF004. The track to the right is a most challenging run up a gulch, while the track to the left is an easier path. Both tracks rejoin at FF005, where you continue up the hill to admire the views from the Crows Nest.
